Enhanced software for confidence in compound identification

Markes TD systems harness back-pressure-regulated electronic pneumatic control to stabilise retention times and enhance confidence in component identification / quantification. The additional use of spectral deconvolution software with Markes database of CW agents improves confidence in compound identification by another order of magnitude thus eliminating false negatives / positives. Electronic carrier gas control, spectral deconvolution and the Mi CW database combine to provide reliable identification of target compounds thus facilitating rapid and accurate diagnosis of a major chemical incident.


Chromatogram of 60ppm CW test mix diluted to 2.5ppm with diesel fuel.  Initially 3 of the 21 compounds were correctly identified, however by using spectral deconvolution and the Mi CW database 15 of the 21 compounds were correctly identified.
